What We Believe
At Christ the Cornerstone Church, we use many ways to communicate, but our message never changes. What we believe shapes everything we say and do.
GOD
We believe in one true, holy God who eternally exists in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He reveals His love, power, wisdom, and goodness through creation and His relationship with humanity.
THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and reveals His will. It is without error and is our final authority in matters of faith and life. Scripture is the foundation of all we believe.
HUMANITY
Humanity was created good and in the image of God. Because all people have sinned, we are separated from Him. Our only hope is Jesus Christ. Every person is God’s masterpiece, created with purpose and fulfilled through a personal relationship with Jesus.
JESUS
Jesus Christ came to earth, born of a virgin, fully God and fully human. He lived without sin and willingly gave His life on the cross for our salvation. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for us. Jesus will return to fulfill God’s eternal plan.
SALVATION
Salvation is God’s free gift, available to everyone who believes. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, God brings forgiveness, new spiritual life, and restoration to all who trust in Him.
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the world, drawing people to Jesus. Believers receive the Holy Spirit at salvation to live with Christ-like character and purpose. He empowers us to serve, witness, and use spiritual gifts to build up the Church.
ETERNITY
God created people to live forever. Each person will spend eternity either with God through salvation or separated from Him because of sin. Heaven and hell are real and eternal.
THE CHURCH
The Church is God’s plan to bring hope and healing to the world. The local church is where believers gather for worship, prayer, teaching, baptism, communion, and service. We are a diverse body called to love one another, share the good news of Jesus, grow disciples, and glorify God together.
