Our mission is to develop our students’ God-given creative abilities through top-tier, joy-powered arts programs that engage the community at large.

- Musical Practices: We integrate the best of what the classical music tradition and contemporary styles have to offer. There is beauty to be found in timeless works as well as the freshness of today’s new songs.
- Part of a Whole: We balance the relational nature of the arts with close attention to meeting our individual students’ unique needs and helping them to meet their goals.
- Convenient: We maintain systems of organization that best accommodate our multitasking modern culture in order to make scheduling, payment, and practice as easy as possible for our students and families.

FAQ's
- Do we have to be members of Christ the Cornerstone to be a part of the academy?
- You do not! Our Academy is open to community members of any age, culture, worldview, and ability level who seek to grow in their creative abilities.
- I want to be a part of the CtC worship band. How do the two entities interact?
- We partner with the worship ministry to equip each person with the skills necessary to be a strong addition to the team. If you would like to help lead worship at CtC, you are encouraged to register for lessons and/or classes that will help you grow in the area that you wish to serve.
- What is the advantage to being a part of a group class rather than a private lesson?
- Group classes not only allow students to make friends who share the same interests, but they also provide the opportunity to learn essential musical skills. This includes maintaining a steady tempo, balancing your sound in the context of a larger piece, playing in parts and having to listen around the group, and much more. In addition, students grow in their confidence much more quickly when they are accustomed to regularly playing in front of others.
- Do you have performance opportunities?
- With the exception of Littlest Music Maker classes, every academy student has the opportunity to showcase their work at least once every season. These events are not mandatory, but they are HIGHLY encouraged as they are an invaluable learning experience.
- Do you offer any kind of trial period?
- We offer trial lessons (a purchase of a one-off private lesson). In terms of group classes - registration is only for one “season” at a time (Sept-Dec, Jan-May, or Jun-Aug), so you can try out what we have to offer for a few months at a time.
- The class we want to register for doesn’t work with our schedule/We’re interested in something that isn’t currently offered. Is there anything that can be done?
- Stay in touch with us! Fill out our Interest Form so you can let us know more about which lessons/classes you’re interested in and what your schedule looks like. We will use this feedback to create our schedules for future seasons, and we hope to include you soon.
- I’m concerned about the price of lessons and classes. Is there financial aid available?
- If you would like to take part in what we have to offer but are in need of financial assistance, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to help. We want you to be involved!
