Samantha Taylor

Samantha Taylor is a dedicated music educator who graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s degree in General and Choral Music Education. She currently holds a K-12 teaching certification and serves as a full-time elementary music teacher in the Caesar Rodney School District, teaching first through fifth grade.

Sam is actively contributing to the field of elementary music education through her work on an upcoming songbook focused on social-emotional learning, where she has served as both an editor and the featured vocalist. A versatile musician, she is a self-taught pianist and guitarist, an amateur bassist, a trained vocalist, and a classical flutist. While her early training emphasized classical voice and opera, her collegiate studies expanded into vernacular styles, including singer-songwriter traditions, and she has performed extensively in worship settings on piano, guitar, bass, and voice.

A member of Ogletown Baptist Church, Sam is passionate about helping individuals discover the music they love and equipping them with the skills and confidence to engage with it meaningfully. She is equally committed to nurturing the whole person, walking alongside others as they grow in their faith and love for Christ. Her heart for missions and cross-cultural connection is reflected in her experience working with international students and families, further shaping her inclusive and relational approach to music education.

Whether in the classroom, on stage, or in her community, Sam brings warmth, authenticity, and joy to all she does, striving to create spaces where others feel known, encouraged, and inspired through music.
