How to Be Extraordinary
Stay Ordinary. God Gives the Extra.
If everyone was extraordinary, we'd all be ordinary. So how do we stand out against all that competition?
Too often I compare myself with others and that limits my extraordinary functioning. I simply need to be the best me I can be. I do that by remembering who I am in God's eyes. Let me explain:
Stephen was an ordinary guy who was selected to manage the distribution of food to women, children, and orphans so that everyone had what they needed. But he was also filled with God's wisdom and grace. That made the difference from ordinary to extraordinary. With God, Stephen was able to command miracles, signs of God's power, and wonders. The people were in awe. Read about Stephen in Acts 6.
God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom of God. And God desires to work through you today. Will you allow Him to send His Holy Spirit so that your ordinary day will become extraordinary?
Let's pray this prayer together:
Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing to use me to make a difference for You. I open myself to be filled with your Holy Spirit. Do in me what you want. Use me how you will. Let others see you through me today. In Jesus' name, let it be so. (That means "Amen.")
I'd love to hear how God used you today in small but extraordinary ways. Please email me and tell me.
