Ian's Rain, Like God's Mercy, Pours Down
Imagine How Much More

We certainly pray for friends, family, and strangers who have endured, suffered, and still wait in the path of Hurricane Ian. I encourage you to pray for their safety and restoration. We will all likely be called upon to respond somehow to the need that follows this destructive storm.

I was staggered to see the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico where the normal water level had be drained away by low tide and strong winds. Can you imagine a giant bucket falling out of heaven, scooping up the ocean, only to pour it out over the land, homes, and creatures nearby?! It's quite astounding. But that appears to be what happened.

I do not minimize the destruction or the danger or the task of recovering from such a storm. I do want to remind us all of the immense love and mercy of God, which like Ian's rain, falls upon all humanity. I've been reading Romans 5:15-20 in which Paul discusses the devastation of sin among humanity. He says, "Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more!" We need an immense outpouring of God's love. We need his power that is far greater than that of this storm. His power restores life and makes it eternal.

My prayer today is that you, first of all, rejoice in God's great mercy and kindness through Jesus Christ. Then I pray that you will be moved by God's Holy Presence to help when asked, pray when moved, and serve when needed.

Look below for a few ways that you can increase your awareness of God's grace in your life. Join us for worship and let's love God together, serve others in Jesus' name, and engage everyone who will listen with the good news about Jesus!

Pastor Roger

We are here to love God and all people so that all people may experience the

life-changing love of Jesus!

LOVE - We meet every weekend to experience God's love for us and show His love for others.

SERVE- We use our abilities, talents, skills, and passions for the good of others.

ENGAGE - We engage with friends to care for one another and to make new friends so they may experience God's kindness too.

Made for More

Stephen & Debbie Scholes, from northern England, have served our Lord as missionaries, church planters, evangelists and pastors. Their experiences of the joys and pains of life, of wonderous miracles and the depths of grief, all reveal the amazing and life-changing love of Jesus. Stephen and Debbie will be with us Oct 6-16. Pray that God will use their time with us to inspire and instruct us as we see Greater Things in Jesus' name.
