We Must Celebrate Milestones
Celebrations Along the Way
On Wednesday of this past week, my husband Danny and I celebrated our 25thwedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe that many years have flown by…and even harder to believe that two people, as different as we are, have been married 25 years! In my opinion, one of the things that contributes to the success of marriage is being able to boldly communicate with one another…. our needs, our desires, our dislikes and even our fears.
In our Scripture for this weekend, we hear about how those that opposed Christianity are amazed by the boldness of Peter and John. In many ways, our Christian walk is not unlike a marriage. Our commitment to Christ is even stronger than our bond with each other. And we are committed to bold communication about Christ…. we have been chosen to tell others of the wonderful ways in which the love of Christ is working in our lives.
This week we received many cards and wishes from friends and relatives. Many of those people were at our wedding and it’s so incredible to have them continue to share in our joy.
My prayer though, is that everyone reading this message would know the joy that comes from hearing someone say, “You introduced me to Christ, and that changed my life.”
We celebrate many different milestones in our relationships with loved ones. Celebrate your milestones with Christ also. Celebrate those whom God brings into your life who need to know what Christ has done for you. And may you have the opportunity to share milestones with them as they grow in their walk with Christ.
I hope you will join us this weekend, either online at ctcde.online.church at 9 or 11AM on Sunday, or in person in Bear at 6PM Saturday or 9AM or 11 AM Sunday or at 11 AM Sunday at Elsmere.
