Weekly Newsletter April 16
Have you ever prayed and asked for healing?
God Heals
It's one of the things He promised to us in His word that we could ask for. All the way back to the prophet Isaiah, who said, "by His wounds you are healed", we have been given that promise.
But healed from what? The psalmist say in 103 who heals all your diseases.
There is great power in the testimony of someone who has been physically healed, I've bee on the receiving end of that kind of blessing more than once.
That's not the whole story, though. In Mark 2, Jesus is getting grief from the religious leaders about an encounter Jesus had with a man who was paralyzed. Jesus told the man his sins are forgiven. Then, after being called a blasphemer, he asked them, which is easier? To say his sins are forgiven or tell him to get up and walk. Then, just to show His power, He told the man to get up and walk, and he did.
Physical healing is just part of the story, Lazarus? He was raised from the dead, but he died again. When Jesus forgives our sins, that's permanent.
