Was It Really a Miracle
Seek God's Presence Among Us

We’re all looking for a miracle, aren’t we?

Our culture, however, tends to explain miracles away depending on our intelligence and sciences to understand what really happened. In other words, people in our society tend to deny actual miracles happen. They say that we just haven’t figured out yet how the “miracle” happened. I believe there will always be something we can’t figure out because miracles are real. That’s because God is real. Jesus is real. The Holy Spirit is real, and he is with us.

I’m not alone in my belief. Thousands of years ago, people also believed:

“O God, your ways are holy.
Is there any god as mighty as you?
You are the God of great wonders!
You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations.
By your strong arm, you redeemed your people.” Psalm 77

Is it a miracle that a marriage headed for divorce suddenly changes course?
Is it a miracle that a cancer cluster seen on a scan disappears when the doctor looks again?
Is it a miracle that a judge decides justice in a trial?

Maybe. Maybe not, but God’s ways are holy, mighty, awesome. And God’s presence here is to redeem people and our lives. All of us.

God has not stopped redeeming his people. His miracles, signs, and wonders display his power and purpose to bring us back to God so that we can live a new life in a new world. Tell someone about Jesus and the miracles you’ve seen him do among us.

Thank you, God, for loving us enough to send Jesus, our savior and the Holy Spirit, our Helper to change our lives from the inside out. Thank you for your mercy and kindness to forgive us. Continue to help us call on you to transform our own hearts and all things in this world. Use us as you desire and plan. We commit to serve you and depend on your help.
