Sometimes God replaces our loss with something So much better!
Loss Can Lead
to Blessing
In 2011, I was told that I my job at Wilmington Trust Company was being eliminated. It was a scary time. Now, truthfully, I didn’t love that job. But it was my security. It paid well. The benefits were good. And, honestly, it had become my identity. So, when my job ended, I felt a sense of deep grief, because my world had changed. I didn’t know what to do next.
But God had a plan. I had a strong sense that I should just trust what God had in mind. I became a youth director at my church, a Christian Education director, and ultimately a licensed local pastor.
God, in my time of grief, doubt and fear, led me to some amazing blessings.
When you’re hurting, always reach out to God. Ask someone else to pray for you and with you.
We all have times when our hearts are broken, and we are filled with sorrow. But, God is always ready for you to pour out all your pain and grief and rest in God.
We are LIVE!
Monday, March 8
Our Elsmere campus will host a mobile food pantry in conjunction with New Castle Seventh Day Adventist Church. This ministry is designed to distribute to families in need. Registration is required.
I’d like to finish with this prayer for you: Thank you, Lord God, for the love you have for each of us. You are always ready to comfort us in our times of sadness and emptiness. Encourage those who are broken-hearted and looking for direction. May your Holy Spirit lead us to pray for those who are struggling with how to pray. In Jesus’ name, we pray these things. Amen.
