Moses was the meekest...
Meek Does Not Mean Weak
Numbers 12:3 tells us that Moses was the meekest and most humble man on the face of the earth. Moses?? You mean the guy that killed an Egyptian? The guy who smashed the tablets with the 10 Commandments? The guy who ground a golden calf into dust and made the people drink it? Yeah, that guy. We sometimes confuse meekness with weakness. Let’s not make that mistake. Meekness might be best defined as “disciplined power”.
The kind of power that is in a rocket booster that propels astronauts into space, should not be used on your minivan. Humility is a key component in this. When we understand the power that comes from surrendering to God and allowing Him to be in control, we can face tough situations with confidence, knowing that He is working in us.
This weekend, we will continue with our series, From the Inside Out, with a messageentitled, It’s Hard to be Humble. We will look at Matthew 5:5 and find out what it
means to inherit the earth. We are live, in-person at 6pm Saturday and 9am Sunday
at the Bear Campus, 11 am Sunday at the Elsmere Campus. Online Sunday at 9
and 11 am.
We are LIVE!
We are excited about the growth of our online ministry. We encourage you to check out the new website at http://www.ctcde.church
and interact with our online hosts.
God, we thank you for the power that comes in surrendering to You instead of trying to remain in control of situations. Help us to know the power of surrendering completely to You to see you work in us. In Jesus name, Amen We hope to see you this weekend. God Bless you!
