Taking care of our vision is important. So is taking care of our spiritual sight.
I Can See Clearly Now

The doctor went through the usual process of performing a thorough exam and issuing a new prescription. He told me that in the last six years my eyesight had changed quite drastically.

When I picked up my new glasses today, I was amazed …and humbled at the difference. I hadn’t realized how much of the details around me I’d actually been missing with my old glasses. Everything is so much clearer now.

In order for our bodies, including our eyes, to function properly, we need to have regular medical checkups. In order for our spirits to function properly, we need to have regular check-ins with God. Just as the eye doctor can help sharpen our vision by looking into our eyes, God can look into our hearts and help us to see the world the way God does.

Join us this weekend as we experience the first presentation in a series of periodic messages called, “It’s a Cultural Thing.” We’ll hear from John Ikeocha from our Bear campus who will talk with us about being a Christian in his home country of Nigeria. John will speak at both campuses and give us a view inside a culture that may be different from our own.

The experiences of our friends and neighbors are all different from our own. They may not all be different culturally, but everyone has different needs and is at a different place in their lives. This week, ask God to open your eyes to those around you and to show you ways to share Christ’s love with others.
