This Riddle Is No Joke
A Fish or a Snake?

What…

Knows no end
Always goes beyond what is expected
Feels no burden
Shrugs off all labor
Aims beyond its own strength
Refuses to say, “That’s impossible”
Never fears
Never tires
Never sleeps
Always keeps watch
Always presses on
Endures suffering
And much, much, more?

Answer: God’s love.

“If any of you were asked by his son for bread would you be likely to give him a stone, or if he asks for a fish would you give him a snake? If you then, for all your evil, quite naturally give good things to your children, how much more likely is it that your Heavenly Father will give good things to those who ask him?” Matthew 7:9-11

God loves you. Accept it. He gives good gifts to those who ask.

Pray to God with faith in Jesus.
Keep it simple.
Keep it real.
Keep it up.

Dear Jesus, we need you in our lives. Thank you for showing God’s love to us through your sacrifice and forgiving us for failing to live as we were created to live. We’ve all missed that mark. Now come and teach us. Help us follow your ways and love all people. In your name we pray. Amen.
